Description (Some HTML is OK)
Ok, so here it is, the orange booze experiment as mentioned in a previous ramble.
The recipe originates from Lucy's Kitchen Notebook, but calls for eau de vie nature, which I've swapped for vodka, as the 90% proof spirit is hard to find (and likely illegal) in Britain.
It could so easily have all gone horribly wrong, but is actually pretty damn good. It's bitter, in a Vermouth sort of way, but still orangey, leading to a whole host of cocktail ideas: Marmalatini anyone? Actually it seems to be nicest over ice with plenty of lemonade and a good chunk of orange squeezed in.
Definitely the taste of this summer.
