Description (Some HTML is OK)
A pasta dish of zen-like simplicity. Not sure which is the thunder and which is the lightning though (Italians are funny)
Ingredients
Makes 2 servings
- 1 can chick peas (or cook about 100g from dried if you're posh)
- 200g macaroni
- Olive oil (the best you can find - forget the light stuff)
- Salt
- Ground pepper
Preparation
Cook the macaroni and drain. Drain the chick peas. Put a good whack of olive oil into the pan you cooked the macaroni in, then put the cooked macaroni back in there together with the chick peas. Stir it all together for a couple of minutes on a low heat to warm through. Add more olive oil if you think you need it (it should be all nicely coated), stir in a good amount of ground black pepper and salt to taste. Serve with some bright green salad with a piquant dressing.
