A nice combination of flavours, that ensures the fennel aniseed flavour isn't overpowering.
Ingredients
Makes 2 servings
- 5 potatoes
- 1 Fennel bulb
- 2-4 cloves garlic
- 300ml milk (semi skinned or richer)
- 1 egg
- Butter for greasing
- Salt and Pepper
Preparation
Preheat Oven to 190 degrees and grease a medium oven dish.
Slice Potato and Fennel thinly.
Arrange Potato and Fennel in layers in dish with plenty of seasoning between.
Mix Egg and Milk.
Pour mixture over dish.
Cover dish.
Bake in oven for 1hr30. Remove lid after 1hr to allow top to brown
