Brownies should not come from a box, but they shouldn't be hard to make, either.
Ingredients
Makes 9 servings
- 6 tablespoons of cocoa
- ¼ lb. margarine
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ⅓ cup flour
- 2 eggs
- ½ tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup sugar
Preparation
1. Melt the margarine completely. (I do this in the microwave).
2. Add the cocoa to the melted margarine and combine completely.
3. Add all the other ingredients to the margarine/cocoa. Mix completely.
4. Grease the bottom and sides of a small square baking pan. Dust the bottom and sides with a small amount of cocoa.
5. Pour batter into pan.
6. Lick bowl/spoon.
7. Bake 25-35 minutes in 325-degree oven (preheated).
8. Brownies are done when toothpick comes out clean.
9. Allow to cool.
