Basic Chilli recipe
Ingredients
Makes 4 servings
- 500g mince
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 tins chopped tomatoes
- 1 medium chilli, chopped
- 1tsp chilli powder
- 1tbsp tomato purée
- 1 beef stock cube
Preparation
Fry the onion, garlic, chilli and mince together, until the mince is browned, and the onion is beginning to go clear.
Stir in the tomato purée and cook for 1 minute
Crumble in the stock cube and add the chopped tomatoes and 1/2 a tin of water.
Bring to the boil, then turn down to simmer for 1 hour.
Serve hot with nachos, grated cheese, sour cream, guacamole and salsa.
