This is awesome if you use crepes instead of cannelloni tubes.
Ingredients

- FOR THE CANNELLONI MIX
- 500gm minced steak
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons of water
- 1 med onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons ricotta cheese or ¼ cup cream
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 16 cannelloni tubes or crepes made previously
- FOR THE SAUCE
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 chopped onion
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon basil
- 1 clove of garlic, crushed
- 250gm tomato paste
- 2 cups water
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ½ cup grated parmesan
Preparation
Place the ingredients for the cannelloni mix in a bowl & mix well. Fill cannelloni tubes, or roll into crepes & line a single layer of a greased casserole dish or roasting pan.
To make the sauce; heat oil in a saucepan. Add onion & cook until softened. Add oregano, basil, garlic, tomato paste, water and pepper, then gently simmer for five minutes.
Pour sauce over cannelloni & sprinkle with Parmigiano. Bake in a moderate oven (180C) for 40 minutes.
